Missionary Regular Baptist Church Cemetery

170S 400W
Cicero Twp., Tipton Co., Indiana

This little cemetery is located one-third mile north of SR 28 on the east side of 400W.

On December 24, 1861 Thomas H. Stringer and his wife, Lydia, deeded to the Trustees of The Missionary Regular Baptist Church:  Donated to said church for a burying ground and to build a meeting house thereon so long as it is occupied for church purposes.  When they are done with it the land is to fall back to Tipton County for a burying ground and they can dispose of the house as they please.  12 rods X 20 rods.   Recorded January 11, 1862.

The oldest stone is that of Thomas H. Childers, son of Reuben and Jane Childers, who died in 1860.  Reuben Childers is not buried here as reported elsewhere.  He is buried in Kansas.  I also have not included Allen Giles.

Rows are read from west to east.  Stones are numbered from north to south.
