Normanda Cemetery

60N 800W
Prairie Twp., Tipton Co.,

Gae and I photographed Normanda over two days in early September. Each cemetery is unique, but Normanda will always be remembered for a large population of toads.

The first known burial, that of Alexander Montgomery who died in 1844, occurred four years before the land was ever entered from the U.S. Government. Today, Normanda Cemetery is still an active cemetery.

The cemetery is at the end of a long lane running west beginning at 800W. The cemetery itself is divided into three sections, numbered north to south. Rows are numbered west to east, stones north to south. Section three, the newest, has many empty rows.
